I liked Yu Yu Hakushu. Until I found out the series was way long. Then I kind've lost interest. But I still like it. Kurama is so hot! And Hiei is a cool little freak. And Kuwabara is just annoying. hahaha

I'm just wondering, exactly how long is the series? I've only gotten to the Dark Tournament but then I lost track of the show and I haven't watched it since...T^T It's an awesome anime in my opinion, and seeing as to how there happen to be a lot of other anime with attractive males, I shall reserve my glomping for only a selected few...XD

i believe the series is 112 episodes long, and the Dark Tournament Saga ended at episode 66, and Sensui dies at episode 93, but it has been a while since i've seen the series, and a doubt CN will resume airing the series for a while....Fangirls are scary

Oh man, it really is long. I don't think any one anime should ever break 100 episodes. They should start a sister series, like Slayers did. First there was Slayers, then Slayers Next, and so on. Slayers Excellence just came out too. But Yu Yu Hakusho is really good,you are right.

actually, i think it is a fairly decent length, many anime go over that...Inyasha goes to 167, in japan One Piece is at 158, Naruto is at 148, Ranma 1/2 goes over 300 i think.....although most any are around 25 episodes....plus there is a saga about Hiei that was very good.....it takes a long time for things to happen in the series, but unlike shows like dbz/gt, it doesn't get boring or repeat itself very much.....

There are exactly four seasons in Yu Yu hakusho. The first, is The Spirit Detective. It covers the episodes from when he first died to the episode where Yukina is first metioned and seen. Its around 25 episodes. Then comes the second season. Its called The Dark Tournament. This covers spisodes of where Toguro comes back through Yusuke's last fight with him when Kuwabara fakes his death.This season is around 41 episodes. Then, the third season is called Chapter Black. This is the season where Sensui comes in and his gang of psychics. This end with Yusuke turning into a demon and kicking Senui's butt.This season is around 28 episodes. Then, Comes the fourth and final season. It is called The Three Kings. Those being Rizen, Yomi, and Mukuro. You find out how Hiei got his jagan, and you also see his mother. Then, it ends with another demon tournament, where the winner is Yomi, and he becomes king of all of demon world.This season is around 18 episodes.Well, I hope that has cleared that...lol.I know it was kind of long.Anyway, there is no saga of Hiei, just one episode about him called 'Secret of the Jagan'. And yes, they have translated the Movie: The Polterguise(sp?) Report. You can buy it in the store

Sorry everyone, but I made a mistake. Yomi was not the one who became king and won the tourney. It was a friend of Rizens who won and became king. Yomi lost because after his battle with Yusuke, he had no energy left. Mukuro lost because she used all her energy up when she was fighting a girl named Natsume who was also a friend of Rizen.

I am definitely a Yu-Yu Hakusho fan. I love the anime and wish it was longer, and have kept myself from watching the last episodes so I don't lose interest.

My favorite is Hiei, but Botan, Kayko, and Yukina are awesome as well.

It's a good series--I don't personally think it's that long of a sweies compared to some (ex. Naruto so far 153 and Inu yasha was what 170 something?). I love Hiei and Kurama *huggies* I love reading (no flames for this) Fanfictions with the two of them together (yeah, I mean, that way) lol.

They have not showed all of the episodes of yu-yu hakasho on cartoon network, anymore, instead they have to show stupid shows like bobobo-bo-bo-bobo whoever you say it, and new episodes of the teen titans, no offence to them, I like the teen titans though

YYH is okay. It has its moments. But I expected more out of it. Everything became an excuse to fight. I didn't like how certain events turned out and how the conclusions were. Some of the fights became lame and anticlimatic.

What drew my attention to Yuyu Hakusho is its similarities to Dragonball (my all time favourite anime). The difference between the two is the way in which they battle and their personal relationships, though Kuwarbarra and Yusuke are similar to Goku and Vegeta. I still have'nt finished the series though am close.

Well this series ran a few months ago and I was lucky enough to see all the eps.Really,really liked it.My favorite character is Kurama.The one that i don't really like is Kuwabara,though he is funny.

Yusuke was awesome when he turned to a demon. Betting the crud out of Sensui like it was nothing. Like what Zetsuei said Yu Yu Hakusho is on CN. Too bad they don't show the previous episodes until later.:(

Yu Yu has the best ending I have seen in this type of series, even if it was totally expected. The Makai Tournament was so awesome, and it introduced the best female of the series in my opinion (Natsume).

Yuyu Hakusho also known as Ghostfighter here in the Phil. is one of the best animes i have ever seen. It has the likes of flame of recca, shaman king and naruto, also my favorite animes.

Lots of Hiei and Kurama fans(it's to be expected though =D) here.

I'm more of a Yusuke fan myself, although I've been known to do a mean kuwabara impression(dubbed voice obviously lol). I think Kuwabara is awesome, but personality wise I'd most likely end up being like Yusuke at times.

I get YuYu Hakasho at 2:30 AM even though I live in the West Coast of the USA. My satelitte tv gives me eastern time shows.

Kind of sucks I have to stay up so late to watch it, but I guess that's why God invented TiVo *hugs TiVo Box*.

I have all of the Dark Tournament Saga, but would like to grab the Chapter Black Saga when it becomes cheaper in the states. 70 bucks is a fair price, but the price should drop as time goes on ^^.

Tee hee, I think there's more to Yu Yu Hakusho than just the buff boys, girls! The series itself is amazing! (Although the dubbing spoilt it all for us!:mad:) Admit it everyone, the storyline is great, the characters are brilliant and Kurama/Shuichi is probably the most LOVEABLE guy in the whole series (I do admit, I had a crush on Suzaku for a bit but I was mad then!)

Believe you me, it's probably one of the best series ever to roam this earth and I hope it will continue on to the next generation!

Yu Yu hakusho hmm.. how can i explain this....Its the best anime in the world that's what!!!!!! Yusuke is my favorite character. And they make the show more intresting when he becomes a demon that's just awsome. Kuwabara is my second favorite although he's not a demon, its pretty awsome how he can rip the gate into demon world like that.Kurama is just plain cool guys. Espically when he turns into Yoko Kurama. I know you girls druel over him but Yusuke is cooler ,that's my opinion. Then comes Hiei. With his Jagan eye and his Dragon of the Darkness Flame, it makes him like the ultimate dude. The sagas from best to worse are- Chapter Black, The Three Kings, The Dark Tournement, and Spirit Detictive. Yet there is a movie besides the Poltergist Report, yet i don't knnow where to get it. Oh well... Yu Yu hakusho rain suepreme forever!!!!!

Yeah, YuYu Hakusho is pretty neat, but I wish some of the girls got in on the action more. One of my favorite episodes was when Botan and Kayko had to run from/fight off those demon-possesed people in the real world. Botan's got some power--I'd like to see her use it more against the demons (maybe I missed some of the later episodes, so maybe she does and I just didn't know...)

I know this is in kinda late, but for the kurama thing, HES MINE!! I'm kurama'sgirl, after all! I had a crush on Hiei for the first episode i saw him, but kurama's personality is so gentle and sweet! Yusuke is cool too. I began reading the manga and now i like Yusuke, but kurama is still no.1! :awe:

I've only read the Manga of YuYu Hashuko. It was in the monthly shonen jump and I never read it up to last month because I was just flipping throught the book and saw Kurama. Then I saw Hiei and decided I would start to read it.

Don't be sad! Where I live, there isn't so much animes on the TV. In Hungary, if we want to see an anime, we must search it on the computer. I love animes, and there are a lot of animes I love, but I can't see it on my language, just on Japanese.

But I'm happy! I have seen fantastic animes, with my friends help! :)

Yeah, well at least you got to see at least three seasons. It was never on in Canada so I have to make do with the manga and the eps I can find on the computer,:(They aren't that hard to find on the computer, using programs like Limewire, it's relatively easy to get them, and in uncut dub form. But I don't like the treatment it got here in the U.S. Being put on at 5:30 a.m. with no advertisement at all is a bummer. =/

It was on at several different time slots in America. The best, in my opinion, was when it was originally part of Adult Swim (or the block that became AS anyway) where they didnt edit things like Genkai's cigarette and some dialog stuff. I must say, I got all the episodes off of DVD rips, but if I had the means, I would still like to get the DVD's (32 dvds? man...)

I really do like YYH; I have a few DVDs, and I've been rewatching them lately. I only got a little into the Dark Tornament stage; the last DVD I have is "Deathmatch". I'll probably be picking up as many DVDs from Sam Goodies next time I go. I forgot how cool the show was, for a second there.

But anyways, my favorite would be Kuwabara. For Christmas a few years ago, my dad got me a Kuwabara action figure autographed by the voice actor! I hung it on my wall and everything. But Kuwabara is so stupid sometimes, it's hilarious. It's not a lack-of-school dumb, like Yusuke, but a naive way about him.

Plus the fact he's in love with Yukina just makes me laugh!

Well I got mine from suncoast and Best Buy. The first one is just called Yu Yu Hakusho the movie. There is also another movie on it and its called Ninku the movie.
The other one is called Yu Yu Hakusho: Poltergeist Report.

There are exactly four seasons in Yu Yu hakusho. The first, is The Spirit Detective. It covers the episodes from when he first died to the episode where Yukina is first metioned and seen. Its around 25 episodes. Then comes the second season. Its called The Dark Tournament. This covers spisodes of where Toguro comes back through Yusuke's last fight with him when Kuwabara fakes his death.This season is around 41 episodes. Then, the third season is called Chapter Black. This is the season where Sensui comes in and his gang of psychics. This end with Yusuke turning into a demon and kicking Senui's butt.This season is around 28 episodes. Then, Comes the fourth and final season. It is called The Three Kings. Those being Rizen, Yomi, and Mukuro. You find out how Hiei got his jagan, and you also see his mother. Then, it ends with another demon tournament, where the winner is Yomi, and he becomes king of all of demon world.This season is around 18 episodes.Well, I hope that has cleared that...lol.I know it was kind of long.Anyway, there is no saga of Hiei, just one episode about him called 'Secret of the Jagan'. Ex: Mukuro-sama, Yomi-sama, because they both rule demon world.

'Kun' would actually be used for boys, but 'chan' woluld work also, but it is used more for girls.

YYH anime newbie here! *Waves flags* Have been watching it since 10/31/06 and am up to episode 27. Favorite Character so far is Koenma as he's so funny and Mihama Chiyo-Chan cute too. Fave episode (so far) 15; a battling Kurama-Kun is scary!

Changed my mind about Kuwabara. The first episode I saw long ago was episode 16 where I found his dub voice beyond awful (still do) but he makes up for it for character, comedy and the funny faces. I like all four main guys equally except Hiei who just creeps me out so far.

This new sub-forum now serves the original purpose of the official thread,
so I'm going to close this for length and allow people to start their own
more specifically oriented threads.
