Ive only seen one of the movies, and I cant even remember which movie it was. I want to see the series, but Im not sure if its worth the money. Can anyone tell me if it was good or not?

This is my favourite anime series, and I think if you consider yourself a true anime fan, you must watch it because it's one of the all time classics. You have it all from adventure, comedy and romance. I have all three series and watched the first movie, and now collecting the manga and novels. My favourite characters are Lina and Gourry, and they happen to be my favourite couple. OTP!!

Slayers is one of my favorite anime. It has three different shows. Slayers, Slayers Next, and well I forget the last...o.o; My favorite character is Xelloss, who is introduced in the third Slayers, along with Valgaav. They call him a "fruitcake" but I'm pretty sure he is in love with Filia. Anyway that was a random thought. It really is a great anime.

I am a huge fan! The vocie actors, the plots, the movies, the character romance, with so many different choices and all up to the water/reader! The manga, in my opintio, is even better than the anime! I know the movie (Slayers Premium) was better in the manga. More fun and chaacters! In Gourry's profile it says "...girls love him for his buff body and long, luxurious locks." Oh so true! :love: Anyway, in Japanese or English, I love watching this series (all three and the movies...)
PS: The voice actors are awesome!!! (original English and Japanese, not the later ones! ex. Eric! and also the movie lina!) I'm picky that way...LOL!:rant:

I have seen Sayers, Slayers try, and am getting Next, but I don't know if there are any others coming out.

I love the series its really quite funny even though I believe Lina and Zelgaddis would make a better couple than her and Gourrey.

i don't think they should make another slayers after try...i love how it ended the ending was perfect ^^ lina with gourry and zelgadis and amelia ^^

however if they did make another slayers..i think it would be sooooo cute if they showed something on the next generation...for example linaxgourry's kids, ameliaxzelgadis kids...and yes xellosxfillia kids..i think xellos and fillia would make a cute couple ^^

This is one of my favourite anime. Although i didn't understand the language since i watch it from a romanian channel something. It was funny, but i got tired, because of the language. So, as far as i've seen almost all of the episodes from first season and about 7 or 8 episodes from the second season. I would like to see more, but of cource in a language that i could understand more than one or two words.:D

ive seen the slayers.....there really good...i liked them alot....my fav character is gurro since he had the sword of light....tht sword is soo cool even though the other swords are cooler

I haven't seen Slayers, only about 3 episodes, I have a friend that highly recommended me to it. But I just don't like the plot, I should give it a chance. Mabye it'll turn out to be my favorite anime. Mabye so, the only thing that sucks is that everything is out on stock and I don't want to buy the series if I don't like it. @.@

Slayers and Next are excellent, but Try was way rushed. Should have been closer to 50 episodes. Best character is definitely either Xellos or Zelgadis, and Zel and Amelia make the cutest couple in the show :p

Her personality is simply blooming, all of her companions actually, she is greedy, but very flirty, I enjoy watching her fool around.

Gaudy is one hard head, he might be a bit confused, but if it comes to battle he's more then prepared..

I would tell about all the other characters unfortunately.. My head hurts. Maybe I will edit this later.

Anyways, This Anime is a MUST SEE. In my list for anyone who hasn't enjoyed this amazing contagious anime.

Xellos and Fillia as a couple would never work out. Xellos is from the monster race, and Fillia is from the dragon race. The monster race and the dragon race hate each other.

true xellos and filia probably would never get each other considering xellos is from the monster race and filia the golden dragon...however a person can imagine cuz they would totally make a cute couple...all those times in the try series...it would be fun seeing them together...

I've seen almost all of Slayers, some of Slayers Next and Try, and all of Great, Gorgeous, and the Movie. I've also read volumes 1-3 of the novels. Slayers is definately one of my faves!

Slayers is the best anime there is! If you haven't seen any of it, you are so missing out! My favorite characters are Xelloss and Lina. My favorite couple is Xel/Fi. My least favorite character is Amelia. Beware the justice freak!

I love Zelgadis. He's so sarcastic and funny. I don't like the movies because he's not in any of them. But I read the novels. Xellos is really weird. I don't know what to think of him. One minute I like him, the next minute I don't.

i saw the end of slayers next and the beginning of try. it is so awesome and funny at the same time.i thought it was going to be like the DnD movie mixed with dragonball but i was wrong.

Slayers has always been my favorite anime/manga series since I was fourteen. I'm twenty-two now.

And yes, Amelia is my favorite character. She is my eternal soul mate. <3 I love her personality, her attitude, her magic, everything about her.

I own the ENTIRE anime series on DVD. All the movies, all the OAV's, and all three seasons. Next is my favorite TV. I wish/hope they will consider producing another season after Try.

I also own the first four volumes of the novels, half of the Slayers Special manga (with just Lina and Naga) and half of Slayers: Explosive Demon Story (comic version of the novels and where the TV is based on). I'm still searching for the rest of the books.

AMELIA. Oh GOD. I hate that character beyond belief. I find that she's completely inane. I can't even begin to describe the level of dislike I have for her.

Speaking of the series, I starting buying it while it was out on VHS. I haven't been able to find the DVD set anywhere. =\ It's so hard to find good anime now and this is included in that. ;_;

And! The songs. I've mostly only heard the ones Hayashibara Megumi has done (she's a favourite of mine) and it's wonderful, it's energetic and fits the anime perfectly. Especially the movie.

Speaking of the movie! ITWASWONDERFUL. I saw it a few years ago and I watched it repeatedly. It was wonderfully developed and it wasn't hard to follow. I really liked it. >D Megumi, though. Oi. Lololol. She makes me cackle.

I discovere it a few years back when a local store sold off their anime rental VHS (when they got more DVDs) and I got all three seasons for dirt cheap (well as dirt cheap as 24 VHS tapes can get :p it was still nearly 200 dollars).

Amelia is my favorite character, I love her too! I think Veronica Taylor gives her such an adorable voice...you can't stay mad at her. Her antic are so cute and likeable...plus you gotta admire her gutso!

Zel and Xellos are my second favorites. I like Filia too. I like ALL the characters, even Martina XD.

Since then I got myself the Movie, Slayers Premium and Slayers Return... I'm hoping to get more later on.

Aside from the movies, I have watched them all. I have both slayers, Slayers Next and Try. And I glad I decided to buy those. =D It is so funny and also heart felt even from the first episode in the first season.

Funny enough, my sister just gave me a new cellphone a few days ago, so I went through all the sound file to set its ring tone. And what do you know, I just end up setting Breeze as my ringtone last night. I like Slayers, and my fave is Zelgadis. It's one of those anime that I found right when I was looking for more anime to watch, other than YYH. It's the first sword n' sorcery anime I watched, and I still like watching it.

On a side note, DotA's Lina Inverse is one powerful chick XD

This is the first anime series I ever started to collect. It became one of my favorites of all. My very first tape was in the middle of Slayers Next, so you see I just had to get the others to know whats up; then I found out there was a season before and after (TRY) and the movies so I had to complete the set. *stares at empty wallet* The adventures were spectacular and the finally for every season was suspenseful and sometimes moving. Favorite characters have to be Lina 'cause shes a spitfire that wont give up on a serious fight and Xellos he may be a mystery but at least he's not a straight out villian. The Try series though seems to have left it, to me, on a high note that there just might be more, but I've looked throught the net and found nothing. I hope they make a new story. If anything Id like to see a saga begin with Naga from the movie series. Let her have some misadventures for a change. If I know anime, it might get a differnt parental rating than Linas. I mean come on with Naga bouncing around like she does, it would make sence if it played out like Excel Saga; just not as wild as that show. lol
