While most people talk about the MS, or the Pilots. I'll Start a thread about the people who are most influential people in the Alternate Universes of Gundam...
The Nominees are:
Lacus Clyne(Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny)
Cagalli Yula Attha(Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny)
Meer Canpbell (Gundam SEED Destiny)
Releena Darlian (Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz)
Tiffa Adill (Gundam X)

I hope to god it's not Relena *hiss* lmao. I personally would have to go with Cagalli from gundam seed... I dunno why... she does seems like a very ... okay person O.o

To me, It's actually Lacus Clyne and Meer Canpbell, Both of them could easily control a whole army of Coordinators if they wanted to. Especially Lacus, Since her words are very influencial prior to the end of Gundam SEED
I think in raw influence Queen Diana Soriel (Turn A Gundam) is the most influential character from the Gundam AU's. Even though she's the Queen of the moon, many of her enemies on Earth at least consider what she has to say.

^Don, Haven't really tried to watch Turn-A... Though my only qualm about it is that I've been too relaxed with "normal" V-fins, And I simply can't bare looking at Turn-A that Much...

Lacus
Personally I found Turn-A's moustache to be rather cool, it's like some of Zeon's more obscure MS designs, you kind of get attached to it after a while.

I know that this isn't a choice. But I would go with Miss Matilda from Mobile Suit Gundam. She had Amuro wrapped around her pinky. Lol. Then another choice would be Kycilia Zabi also from Mobile Suit Gundam since shes the only known daughter of the very influential Zabi family.

Well, while Relena was able to persuade most world leaders to consider peaceful approaches to resolving matters until Treiz took over again, I'd have to say Lacus, since she had pretty much the same capeability and I really really hate Relena.

And While Releena was basically a puppet, Lacus was actually being the puppeteer rather than the puppet.
I totally agree that Haman Karn is the most influential UC Gundam character (she is also the hottest)

The Cosmic Era should not be considered an Alternate Universe. It is the second most defined Gundam Universe after Universal Century. And it looks to be developed even further still.
Anyway, in response to this thread...
Lacus Clyne The victor. She is the most influencial of those that you mentioned. She is intelligent, brave, and the entire Earth-Moon Lagrange Field knows her face.
Cagalli Yula Atha Somewhat influencial to the Cosmic Era, however unlike Lacus Clyne, the world could have proceeded the same way without her.
Meer (Mia) Campbell Mia (I loathe the name Meer) serves only thus far to create confusion. She has almost no influence, as 95% of her influence is under the guise of Lacus. Therefore, those points go to Lacus. She did influence Athrun though.
Releena Peacecraft Releena is a heavily influencial figure to the After Colony Timeline. The most influencial figure in the After Colony Timeline. Mariemaia Kushrenada would come in second for that timeline.
Tifa Adil Pffft... Tifa is not so great. She cause various chains of events though.
At any rate, I believe this thread is flawed. You should discuss the most influencial female for each individual timeline. That would be more accurate.

Theoretically, wouldn't Flay be one, since it was her that cause Sai Tolle Kazi and Mary(I can't spell her name) to stay on the ship which in turn caused Kira to stay, which allowed him to get nearly blown up and so on, you get the picture.
i agree with u in releena and lucas!!
