Hi Guys,
Currently I am working on the outfits of my Indian (as from India- Asia) Anime characters for my story. My story takes place in ancient India. It is tale of noble swordmen, demons, assassins, etc. For my characters I used traditional Indian swordmen outfits which includes: Lungis (the cloth that they around their waist, of which there are 10 variations), tight cotten pants (inside), Kadia (the metallic rings on their arms), and finally stylistic Indian Vests or other shirts. Here are the pictures, please take a look at them and tell me what you think:

Drawing Indian outfits isn't that much of a problem for me, but I am still working on the faces. I want to use anime style and make Indian characters. If it isn't much to ask, please take a look at the following authentic Indian Artwork that I found from an another website, and tell me what characteristics you see in them. So that I can use them to make the faces of my Indian anime characters.

I think there's room for improvement. For the clothes, you've done very well. You'll get even better on this topic w/o my help. For the faces, I suggest placing the mouth somewhere closer to the nose. (The second pic with the nosering kinda freaked me out. XD) I love the detail on the eyes. Don't forget, if you're drawing a guy, you must make the eyebrows thicker or bushy. (Since they don't care much for having too much hair on their eyebrows like we girls do) For girls eyebrows, you can't make them too bushy or make it look as though they have no eyebrows at all. Don't forget the add detail to the hair, such as where the hair ends or split ends if they're not well groomed.

I think you did really well on the eyes, but past that it doesn't look like you put alot of time into the drawings so I'm guessing it wouldn't be fair to judge your works at this point especially sence it seems your still working out the kinks. All in All it's not to bad, it just looks like you need to draw them a few more time to get the full figure of each character. Keep in mind though taht if your serious about drawing a manga then you should work on the backgrounds as much as the characters themselves. While having the person look that part it is also very important have a perfectly worked background. A good background will also make it so you don't have to work so hard on getting the characters to look Indian. Also seeing as your characters are indian you should work on shading them in, because as you should be well aware of Indian people arn't white. That should also help your character look the part a little better. And finaly while making characters you should make sure to give each on a specific characteristic to help distiguish them from other characters aswell as being sure not to use the exact same eyes. Eyes are what show the difference between characters. Hope this has been of some use and just incase it sounds like it im not trying to bash your works because it is good.
