I think they wanted to emulate the success of sailormoon, really. I mean, even the character poses are simliar .. how obvious can you get?

Yes, I think so too.

Don't forget the speeches and the attack names, they are an imitation too. I know that some members of the team who made Sailor Moon was in Wedding Peach too, so the art looks a bit similar, but that's no excuse to rely on huge successful anime like Sailor Moon.

But I don't think it's the animators fault. There was a WP manga first, maybe it's the author's fault letting herself "influence" too much.

Even if WP HAS its pros, I won't ever read the manga since I was too freaked out by the series.
