Anyone ever heard of Samurai Deeper Kyo?

I read the first three manga. It's mediocre in that it has a main character that is virtually indestructible and rarely gets hit. The female is average since she seems to be a money grubbing wench but has a mission behind it all (the infamous 'I'm hunting down the person who killed/maimed/otherwise hurt ____' past)...

Personally, I'm not going to waste time and money on it, but if an opportunity presents itself in which I have nothing better to do and it's within easy reach, I'll read it.

It's a great manga series, but the anime just went too 'DBZish' for me. In the manga, the enemies are just really skilled and challenging. In the anime, they're all humans-turned demon who like to transform into crappier versions of themselves and attack.

One of my all time fav animes. I picked it up by sheer chance and got hooked after the 3rd episode. Spent an entire day just watching the whole series and then re watched it a few days later lol. Its got a great story line, good charactors, nice voice actors, great action and even a little bit of drama and romance for the light of heart people.

Haha... of course the manga rocks. I meant... it's like volume 20 plus!! I didn't even know until when it's gonna end. The anime's fighting scene lacks a lot. But when you get to read the manga, omg... Hotaru's cute! I like his chibi form.

And there's a companion which was not inserted in anime. His name is Hantenmaru. He's like the 'Sanosuke' type in Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin). Btw... I kinda saw Hantenmaru at the last episode of SDK... only for a few seconds during the war...

Samurai Deeper Kyo is by far my favorite manga series. I enjoy the anime too, but the manga is just far more incredible than the anime. Honestly I just jump back when I see how well the art is on some of the pages, it's as if the manga is coming to life right before me. Naturally, of course my favorite character is Kyo, although I also really like Benitora since he always gives me a good laugh ^_^

P.S. My SN is actually based off of Kyoshiro's name.

I've heard about it from a friend of mine. She told me that it was perverted but funny <.< (ecchi maybe, but NOT hentai) and she brought the manga to school and read it in class and the teacher didn't notice... oh god how she laughed.
