I watch it and its really cool. Its about this guy named Yoh who has a twin bro who is evil. The beginning has nothing to do with that though. Its just yoh and some frinds whos training in the begining.Later on they hear of the shaman tornament and yohs evil twin bro Zeke shows up.They end up goin to the tornament and yea thats about most of it.

i havent seen the show but ive read the books its mostly about alot of children who are able to interact with spirits and stuff like that......anyway they like have to find a king and to do that they have to fight each other and the last one standing is the king (the spirits are there to help them fight) anyway thats what its basically about ~el221~

His brother Zeke whos evil tries to take over the world with the most powerful power in existence the king of spirits Yoh has to stop him. That about sums it up by the way it rocks its really really really great.

Ther's a guy in the show, named Faust the VIII-th, who reminds me of Marilyn Manson. He keeps his girlfriend's skeleton under his coat. The story of her death is horrorific. Faust is horrible as well. But he became a crypt mage just because he wanted to revive his girlfriend.

OK shaman king, i have alot to say on this!
Shaman kng is a tale of a 13 year old dude from Japan called Yoh Asakura, he looks normal but he is actually a shaman. He's come to Fubrari to find a guardian ghost to fight along by his side in the shaman tournament that is hel every 500 years. He find his companion in the form of Amidamaru a samurai spirit who has been on monument hill waiting for 600 years.
Yoh find him when he helps his new friend Manta, who he meets at the school when monument hill was taken over by ryu and his gang, the 'dead enders', he uses spirit unity to beat him with Amidamaru, spirit unity is the 1st form of shaman combat.
He also annoys Ren Tao, a chinese boy who also will take part bin the shaman tournament. He makes a few other friends along the way, including Horohoro, an ainu from the North. And Ryu!
And his fiance Anna comes into the story aswell (she's a medium) so they take part in paliminary rounds and yada yada and then they have to get to a place called Patch Village in a month (i think it was).
But during this time they are hassled by a guy nemed Hao, who mysteriously looks alot like Yoh! they fight and meet anew guy called Lyserg whose parent were killed by hao and his guardian ghost the spirit of fire.
Im not gonna spoil later chaps! but now for my opinion (no i wasnt goin to forget about that!) i love shaman king including Hao! Guess you can see that by my sig! my advice?
watch the show it rules!:awe:

Let's get one thing straight first... The manga is one of the topselling in the world, but the anime is only half as good as the manga.
Now.. the story.
A boy named Manta/Morty is walking home from cram school(special night school for geeks) when he decides to cut through a cemetery to catch the train in time. He sees a creepy boy sitting on a tombstone who starts talking to him when a whole bunch of spirits appear. He runs away. The next day the boy is at Manta/Morty's school. His name is Yoh Asakura. At first, Manta/Morty thinks Yoh is some kind of freak, but learns he is a shaman, one of the gifted people who can see spirits. He becomes Yoh's friend. Next, the Shaman Tournament begins. It a competition to determine which shaman gets to be the shaman king (hence the name) Along the way Yoh gains allies and friends. Horo Horo/Trey, Ren/Len, Faust VII, Ryu/Rio,Chocolove/Joco, Lyserg Dithel, Yoh's fiancee' (arranged marriage) Anna, Tao Jun (Ren/Len's) sister, Pirka/Pilica (Horo Horo/ Trey's sister), and Tamao/ Tamara Tamamura. Also along the way Yoh gains enemies. The X-Laws who believe anyone who oposes them and does not believe their dream should be destroyed, and the main bad guy, Yoh's twin brother Hao/Zeke, who is reincarnated and is only this way because he had the ability to read people's minds in his first life and accumilated a lot of negative thoughts toward him. His goal is to create an all shaman kingdom and destroy anyone who is not a shaman and all of the weak shaman. In the end, Yoh triumphs over his brother. (If you ask me Hao/Zeke should have won, but as the anime goes, all of the shaman in the tournament give Yoh their mana/furyoku and it adds up to being just enough to defeat Hao/Zeke.
Well, that's the story, the basics anyway
