Gundam Ace is THE Gundam magazine from Japan. This is a poll they have held over the past few months based on the votes of 500,000 Gundam fans. I think the results show the burst of popoularity of Seed and Seed Destiny, and some no brainers. But it's still interesting.

I'm not really surprised at SEED Destiny's incredible showing on the polls, since the series was brand spanking new when people voted. Given 2 years or so i'm sure half of Destiny's showings willl fade away into nothingness. Just look at how the original SEED series fared.

The biggest surprise for me was that Cima from 0083 made it on the list and Nina didn't. Although I like Cima and cannot stand Nina, I always assumed she was really popoular.

Alright, Char was good but there were pilots who killed more peeps than him, but they were no namers but there was a list similar to that, it had the kills people got and he was beat by a few people, so him at #1 is a little strange(although I thought Heero yuy would be #1, even though I didn't like him). Sayla wasn't even that good, all she did was follow Amuro up his butt all the time with a stupid ship and almost got killed by Char. The last shock is that GARMA ISN'T ON THE LIST. He kicked Amuro's *** in a friggin dopp, but oh well, he didn't live long enough to prove himself. :ninja:

I don't think the list was based on kills or anything like that. For example, Sayla may be a pathetic pilot, but she was a well developed and charismatics character.

well, i kinda go with SGI in some of his stuff, but for the males really i think Amuro, Gato, Ramba Ral, and Shiro should've been a little higher up towards #1

i think the SEED votes must have been from its recent popularity. in my opinion, it isnt as good as most of the gundam series, and im suprised G Gundam even got 1. it had to be the worst out of all the gundam series. im glad MSG is still well liked by fans after (25 or 26 years?).

I love SEED, but I am more surprised by the lowness of Gundam X. It is hugely underrated (similarly, Wing is much overrated in my opinion). 1 character from G sounds about right, but I am surprised it wasn't Schwarz Bruder. He was much cooler.

....uuuuhhhh...no, Garma got the crappola kicked outa him if I do remember correctly...not only did he get his Dopp's wing sliced off by the GUNDAM!! (Gundam rules) But he was latter killed, when a blast from the White Bases starbord side Mega Partical cannon ripped through his Gaw's cockpit...instantly incinerating him.

As far as G Gundam goes it was a horrible series, that was only second to an even worse series known as SD Gundam Force...both series need to be burned...IMO. Sorry if I touched on some older topics.

hmm...not really, in your book and some other people's books it may be, but in my book it isn't. you either kill'em and or tell somone to kill'em, char did neither. he counted on garma's foolishness against the gundam, and kept help from coming. he didn't kill him, he let him die.

I guess the poll is like comparing the present and the past, cuz in the group of polls, are there new fans who only watch the later series? I don't know.... ha ha ha... just suggestion.

If the latest series don't really hit the chart, Sunrise do have to survey for the reason from the fans I guess, which also means Seed & Destiny is a failure product (which the poll seems to prove that wrong.)

But the rise of Seed & Destiny shows that people seems to want to see more graphical entertain stuff and stronger background story rather than 'peanut and butter'. Seriously, Seed and Destiny should be like a complete box rather than separate (just my suggestion.) hahaha...

Woot! Shani actually showed up. I'm suprised! The coolest druggie and one of only two naturals from that series (and its sequel to make it).

Oh and I noticed that some people are wondering why pilots who did such and such a deed (such as kill a bunch of people) didn't get on the list and thats because its a popularity contest not and ability contest. Judging character worth based off of power seems kinda... i don't know... insipid
