I really like the way the background came out but aren't sure if I'm satisfied that its finished or not. What are your thoughts?

Neat! But move the text to a more open place cause it's a bit hard to see... that's the only thing I could think of ^_^

it's a nice concept, and works really well with the character. it seems like the design ought to be a kind of floor that she's sitting on, but it looks like it's to vertical (perspective isn't quite right) try making it look like it's stretched more (the circles towards the top should look a lot smaller than the ones up front. also try making the shadow more noticable (it'll help ground her better, she still seems to float some)
ok, one last thing, the extraction is great excpet the edges of her shoes and a little bit on her knees look a bit rough to me.
*edit* i hadn't noticed the text, it is kinda hard to see. though i'm not sure if that was intentional or not.

the floor would rule if it had a repeated-tile of firefox logo (pixelated or smth), but thats just IMHO

Liked the first better. Try using another font. The second font was better, but still to big.

the floor is much better, though the shadow still looks odd. and the text is alright but the edges need to be smoother i think.

A simple drop shadow won't work for what you're wanting. Make your own. The text sucks, both the font and the placement for the first, the font for the second.
Besides, nice concept.

The latest shadow looks really good to me, but I for one really liked the first version of the text. It was hard to see, sure, but that was part of what was so good about it.
The latest text isn't so bad either, but I think it should be either just the text or just the shadow text.

I think the floor rocks. I am iffy on the font. How about making it smaller, darker, and maybe adding some lines coming off of it like...
---------Firefox---
Of course, make it look much nicer. Like... add similar lines to what is in the background.

That shadow in the last one looks odd to me because the knee part is up by her head..I doubt a real shadow would be like that..I think the problem is it needs to be distorted on an angle, rather than it looks like its moved up. I hope that makes sense. ^^

I agree with escaflowne_moon... man shadows are always a problem for you! ^^ so I can give a tip: make a drop shadow, but a quite blurred one(and not just black, try a dark orange or dark blue). Then create a separate layer and distort the shadow(how distort? it hasn't to be a tall shadow, but quite distorted and right for the light direction). this should work, it's not difficult ^^...about the text, you could remove it, or move her more to the right/or left and than apply a text...text imho should be placed in his right place, not just thrown anywhere without any reason :) .
but work on it because i'ts a very good concept! ^_^

It's really cool and pretty, but the text just isn't fiting. You don't need something that stands out too much.

Once more I say: make your own shadow... How? You have your paintbrush, and you have the color #000000, and you have different layers with different opacities... That simple.
