Winter rose of go

I made this wallpaper for the december contest, but I would also like to know what you guys think of it. I know it's rather simple, but please don't kill me. I'm new at this. http://animeforum.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

I'm thinking about trying to put the same kind of "snow lines" that can be seen in front of Sai over the white bg as well, but in the blue...thoughts?

if you gave the bg just a hint of blue then put the snow-lines over it, it might be alright. truthfully, i think it's fine how it is. having her hand wrap over to the top (which is what it seems to do) is an interesting touch, i kinda like it too. honestly, i wouldn't change much, only maybe lessening the amount of snow lines a little or bluring them some, something to smooth them out a bit. so they're not so harsh against the character.

Looks pretty good, as aca said, maybe add a hint of blue in the BG
