no. Most guys who like anime may or may not admit being attracted to the show by the girls in skimpy outfits, but other than that, I personally find a lot more to like than hate in Sailor moon. One of the hates being Usagi, but thats all Im going to say regarding that :P
Let's just say you wouldnt have to force me to watch the show. Especially not the first season or Sailor Moon, S, Stars (with exception of that stupid pink haired freak).

I may not know, 'cause I'm a girl, but I think that if you like Sailor Moon, you have good taste whether you're male or female. Who cares if the show is about girls, that doesn't mean only girls can watch it. It's good that some males like it, and you are good to be able to tell us that you like it. well, im glad to hear that im not the only one. I just realized that i used to be made fun of when I would rush home to see the show. I didn't fall into the show because of girls in skimpy outfits. It was basically the first anime show I ever watched (no, not true, I did see dragon ball z first) and i just lked it from there.

see i couldnt stop watching a show even if people were making fun of. i dont know why. even if i try to stop watching any show i really like, even non-anime, i find myself just going back to it. see i never stopped liking or watching sailor moon even though i was being made fun of. the reason i started this wasn't so much regret for not watching it as it was for iritation at people not leaving me alone about it. like i watch inuyasha on adult swim almost every weekday night. i know i shouldn'twatch it cause i need my sleep but even when i try to stop i just automatically start watching it again after a night or 2.

Nah. My boyfriend and I both enjoy it ^^ Largely for the characters and certain parts of the storyline. The repetition in the anime is irritating, but we love using the characters for fanfiction.

My brother's a lifelong fan of the uncut japanese Sailor Moon... As for me, I love Sailor Moon! I have almost all of the DVDs (Just need to get the SuperS boxset), and I even have StarS.

The first anime I ever saw was Sailor Moon on TV.. then I found out just how butchered and edited the US Sailor Moon is... so i boycotted anything that had to do with the US sailor moon and started watching the uncut episodes... the last episode of sailor moon (first season) was my first introduction to just how crazy anime can get sometimes...

I sometimes wonder if Sailor Moon is meant to be a clean yuri anime series...

By the way.. pick up StarS, it's great..

The Stars season one is definitely bootlegged, however since American companies cant seem to negotiate the Stars release officially, this is one of the few times that I would actually suggest buying the bootleg. Usually I frown on doing that, but if you cant buy it any other way, why not?

My 1sy anime was Sailor Moon! I watched it when it 1st started airing on FOX back in 1994 or 95. (can't remember) Anyway I love it so much that i written so far an 18 chapter fanfic! and it's still growing! So buddy you're not the only Male SM fan out there.

My Fabvorite Character BTW is Sailor Mercury. She has both brains and Beauty!

Sailor Moon was my first anime. I remember watching it when I was like 11 or 12 while it was on USA. I always remember that my first episode was when "Lita" first appears, a good place to start if you miss the beginning. I was instantly hooked when the SIlver Crystal was found and "Darien" was taken away. Not to mention the ending, which for that time was extraordinary.

I am a guy and I still love Sailor Moon. I own the ADV boxsets of Seasons 1 and 2(R). I bought the individual first-releases of S and not too long ago bought the slim-pack box set of SuperS. I also recieved fansubs of Sailor StarS from a freinds, when I found out that StarS may never come out (I got my hopes up w/ ADV's releases). I agree with Innotech about bootlegs, but there was no other choice now, and fansubs are a lot cheaper and have good translations than the foreign box sets (that sometimes have awful subtitles). I also know at least 4 other guys my age or older (I am 20, 21 in January) that love Sailor Moon.

I must also mention the manga. Tokyppop released the original work, "Americanized" with name changes and western-style page layout. This only applys to the characters introduced in the first two "seasons" 1 and R. All characters introduced after that have their normal japanese names. The translation seems accurate. THe stories in tha manga are fantastic. The main story stays roughly the same, but there are minor differences (though the differences between manga and anime become greater in later seasons). The manga is darker in tone, but are beautiflu crafted and convey deeper relationships between soem characters. Any Sailor Moon fan should read them (especially Stars!).

I had a cat named Luna, and I did name it after the sm cat. but then I found out it was a boy kitty and tried to call it Artemis... it kept responding to Luna though... Not by far are you the only one drakfire. I know many many males who like/have liked Sailor Moon. Several years ago when the chatroom was way more based on Sailor Moon than it is these days, there were so many guys running around as Prince Darien, Endymion, different variations, generals, and even their own made up characters. Our own Kaitou Ace took on the persona of Calcite from a Sailor Moon fic. There was a group of knights: Eternal Venus Knight, Saturn Knight, Mercury Knight, and Jupiter Knight. Of course EJK is still here. A friend of mine named himself RomanticTuxedoMask. We had a clan called Nemises that was created by Lord Onix of Nemises that was based from the series. All of these males have liked or still like Sailor Moon. There are still many today who enjoy the show. It's a great series, especially the subbed version >>; I hope I've eased your anxiety a bit more ^^

No, you're not the only male fan in the world. One of my best friends is a big fan of SM. BUT, mostly guys only view Sailor Moon as the anime with the girls in skimpy outfits, so usually that's one of the only reasons guys like it. SM is, though, mostly targeted towards the female audience, by throwing in the things most girls like in shows, like romance, a female hero who doesn't depend on her 'prince' all the time, and etc.

Yea man, I know what it's like to be...well...judged by some people for liking Sailor Moon, that show was actually one of the first major series I have seen on Cartoon Network (that and Dragon Ball Z), I've been watching anime on Cartoon Network ever since thanks to that show as well as a few others. So to drakfire_destiny, here's to you and all the cool dudes who also watch Sailor Moon, keep on rocking it under the light of the moon cool-cats!

Hey i love sailormoon!!!!!!!! it was the very 1st anime i ever saw!! thats the only reason for me becoming an ANIME LOVER ida 1st place.
im a girl but i think sailormoon can be a boyz and girlz show because ,why does it matter if there is only girlz -SO WHAT there is tuxedo mask and some rivals are boyz and even sailor venus has a crush on a boy so does sailormoon, anyone can like sailormoon!! i dont think ur crazzy for liking sailormoon besides some boys i know like sailormoon 2 -because they think the scouts are cute !!
