Fullmetal Alchemist?!

Has anyone seen this? I'm completly hooked from the 1st episode, I don't know the details of the anime other than the two main characters, but I recomend you check this out!

Hm, firstlly watched only 10 min of the first episode, thought that it was something stupid again, but in the end it's realy great! I've watched 24 ep till now.

My friend introduced me to this, being that Square actively sponsors this anime and that i seem to like the way this anime is going, i am definetly going to watch this long term all 40ish(so i heard) of its episodes.

Just something for those who play FFXI online, if you go to the Auction House and go to Materials >> Alchemy section, scroll around, you will eventually find the pink redish Philosopher's Stone not unlike the one in this anime.

Some quite sad episode's, number 25 comes to mind. I find Scar the most interesting character & makes me wonder who the real bad guys are when you hear of some of the other Alchemist's past activities, But in saying that it isn't all bad things ;)

52 episodes. At first, it's kiddish. However, as you keep watching it, the characters evolve, and the story twists and turns. It's really good. I didn't like it at first, now the series in my oppinion is one of my favorite. Defidently worth your time.

I seen the preview in NewTpye and it looks awesome. I'll just have to wait till it comes to the Usa. I don't like buying it when the characters only speak japanese I'll just have to wait for the dubbed version.
And I heard they might bring the game to the Usa. It's already in Japen now. Its not gonna be release in the Usa for some time though if they do it. And I think it's coming from Square-enix((These's are maybes, I'm not 100% sure if they gonna do it)) :D

i think the third intros name is "undo", but other than that im a big full metal alchemist fan, i love it. there are 52 episodes, but it got licensed by FUNimation and will be showing in the us in october (i think) :rolleyes:

Well it would appear its starting to get really interesting with the battles lines being drawn ( as of episode 31 ). You have the homoculus (spelling?), Alchemist's & Ed + brother XD but this equal trade stuff is getting to me ... a brother for a arm & a leg I dunno doesn't seem equal ... even if he is the new tin man (^^)

yea they will censor it, and it will probably be so much changes and they might even cut off a few episodes and all that. the voice acting will sound so weird to me cuz im used to hearing the japanese voices

I really dis-approve of the action taken by cartoon network on their part. What they did was (i read this on some fan site of FMA, and he backed it all up...) They completely ripped square off and tried to buy complete ownership of the entire anime. They always do things like that, and they always give a lowball price for less than it's worth, so they end up making money off it. I can see why they'd do it, but butchering the anime...No.

Like lion said, i've seen up to thirty, it's bloody as hell, and if they're going to edit it like they did kenshin or dragon ball, that's the death of the anime. I'm sorry.

I don't know much about it (i've not seen it, but i've heard one heck of a lot of rants about how good it is etc), but Full Metal Alchemist seems to be one of those Animes that anyone who watches it becomes obsessed. Apparantly it has over quadruple the normal amount of episodes for an anime though, which seems a bit odd? (though also good if it really is as good a show as everyone says...:) )

Does anyone know of a site that offers it for download? (bittorrent seems to cause problems with my machine...)

If you are interested in Fullmetal Alchemist, then it is rightly so. It is, in my opinion, the single greatest anime ever made, no contest. I agree with Saint Mana though, you would probably do better seeing it subbed. Even though it is going on adult swim, editing is inevitable (I haven't seen past episode 28, but I can safely say that FMA is the most violent anime I have ever seen).

So, try to download subbed eps even though it is now illegal since FUNimation licensed it.(Or just watch the uncut DVD's. Trust me they will exist.),

ahhhh!!!! i love that show they have already played for the first time on adult swim and i love it! i had heard of it once or twice before but other then seeing it just now on AS i've been in the dark. though i most say now that i've seen it i'm totally adicted i mean i dont even care about AS buchering it i still think its great but since i'm new to the show sum1 tell how and why Al got stuck bodyless and fitted with a suit of armor and Ed only losses 1 arm and leg simply replaced with mecha limbs?

This by far is a great anime. Very nicely balanced storyline, humor, action, suspense. I advise you all to check it out. That is if you havent seen it.

Well after taking some good advice, I sat down and finished the entire series and I loved it! It has everything you could possibly want in an anime. Good plot, cool characters, nice visuals, and killer music ^^ ! A very well done anime in my opinion. I was completely captivated for the entire 51 episode run. My personal favorites are still episodes 9 and 13 though ^^ .

One of the main things that I liked about Fullmetal Alchenist was the characters. Scar and Roy in particular. The characters had such depth. It was all really refreshing considering how shallow some of the characters are in some of the other anime that I've watched recently. There were times when I felt like a wooden board had more depth <_< . Fullmetal Alchemist on the other hand, did not. I highly recommend this series to everyone ^^ !!
