Now this is a neatl ittle show. It stars a girl named Shima Katase and her crazy bunch of friends who were accepted into a exlcusive space academy called Stellvia. Its a space age lsice of life style comedy/drama/action type of show that really entertains and has gorgeous CG effects as well. I have onlt the first disc but Im looking forward to more of it ^^

You need to let the story build up a bit. sometimes it takes 3 to 5 episodes to really get going.

I just got the second disc, and its definitely getting more interesting. Shima for example, is becoming a hell of a pilot (surprise!) One thing I REALLY hate though about 24 ep series like this, is they not only stretch it out to 8 discs, and over a very long time, they only put 3 episodes on each disc! So it seems like its over way too fast and you cant get a good grasp on the storyline without getting lost. This is the kind of show where the release format really does require you to marathon the series to get the full effect. I really hope htis sort of release schedule is dropped. However, despite these gripes, I will definitely continue this wonderful little show. The girl with the curly purple hair in episode 4/5 is kawaii ^^

i thought Shima lacked alot of character and her devopment came late into the series. it takes place an interesting time and the story is unique itself compared to the rest of futuristic and mecha anime, but i just thought it lacked something to make it into a excellent anime
