What do you think of the show? Who is your favorite character?

I have seen 3 episodes of the anime and have the first 2 volumes of the manga. I admit I read some spoilers on it, so I know what happens at the end. I think the show is great. The animation and dialogue are wonderful. It puts a whole new light on angels (for me at least).

Rociel is my favorite character. He is very cool. I feel bad for him, God really screwed him over.

So tell me what you think.

I know! I wonder why they only made three episodes... I think I heard somewhere that the rest of the show was too "provocative" to put into anime format. I read spoilers, and I really don't see why it is any more provocative than some of the other shows out there. *shrugs* Well I do hope they make more episodes.

There's an Earth Arc, a Hell Arc, etc... maybe I got them wrong, but I'm sure they're taking it in Arc's. However, yeah, three epi's are all you're going to get.

I think I like Kurai the best. You know, the girl demon who dresses up as a boy?

Thank God there is a thread for this... Its a great manga, and I think besides the incest, it doesn't really deserve the label of 'dark' that it often gets.

I personally felt sorry for Setsuna and Sara, and was quite happy that they were able to stay together even though they're like.. Related by blood.. Its funny how you actually sympathise with them despite that though..

That's a good point. But you would think they would make more money selling DVD's of the show...of course most people would just download the fansubs....yeah it makes sense. Still, it would be publicized much more if there were more episodes and if it was syndicated; and thus more people would buy the manga... Ok, now I'm just talking in circles.

I saw the first part of the anime ova of Angel Santuary. ((I think)).... It was very good. I liked it. I haven't read the manga yet. I would like to eventually. ^_^

Katane was cut inhalf because he wanted to kill Setunsa, but Sara ended up...ummm..getting in the way...so Setsuna "blew up" with anger and slashed Kartane in half..he was in hell too...well..that was the video I saw...it was chapters 1-3, so I really didin't get to finish it...I'm still waiting for the second one..

Yeah poor Setsuna and Sara. Fated, yet tragic. The manga reall should have been more apparant in the anime, which left far too much out. I'm not sure why they didn't make more episodes, because it wasn't considered THAT controversial in Japan believe it or not.

Yes, he dies in the end...at Rociel's hand--the guy went totally nuts and then killed him, or so I've heard. Afterward, Rociel's sanity is returned to him, he realizes what he has done and (I think) REALLY goes insane.

The anime OVA was made specifically for the fans of the manga in Japan. That's the reason there's only three episodes. The anime covers basically the first 4 volumes of the manga.

Anywayz, I love Angel Sanctuary. It's Apocalyptic and it has angels...of course I love it ^_^ !! It's sad that they couldn't make a full-blown series out of it.

Per volume? There should be 3 eps in one DVD, and where I get it, it's $12.00 or $10 if you know them..

Parents are paranoid in general. They are just trying to "protect" you from stuff you "shouldn't" be watching. My parents are pretty strict, but not as strict as some others I know of. I don't think they would freak out so bad as some of my friend's parents if they saw Angel Sanctuary, Gravitation, and some of the other stuff I watch.

As a matter of fact my mom actually watched an episode or two of Gravitation with me....but that is a topic for another thread...suffice it to say that she didn't think it was all that bad. I don't know how she would react to the whole incest, reincarnation, Lucifer is the good guy thing being as she is a Christian. I am too, but I don't let that get in the way of my reading about and watching this great show/manga.

I haven't seen any of the Angel Sanctuary anime, but from what I heard of it from other sources, it doesn't do justice to the manga in way of animation, voice acting, or even the character designs. I heard about AS about... half a year or so before Tokyopop released the manga and I just fell in love. I have the first 4 manga and I absolutely love Kaori Yuki's artwork.

I've heard the story called "typical" for making Heaven evil and Hell good so people sympathize for Hell instead, but I think that the storyline is actually quite deep. Who I do sympathize for is Setsuna. I love his character... Kirai is such a cute little thing. I feel bad for her as well but she's such a sweetheart. *sighs* I also felt so bad for Ruri, Sara's friend who was infected with the... virus? Eh...

The anime doesn't do justice to the manga at all. Even so, I like it anyway. It is still good in its own way. I do like the manga better than the anime tho.

I don't think there's anything typical at all about AS. It is an original work of art. Kaori Yuki is a master artist and storyteller.

I like Rociel, Kira/Lucifer, and Alexiel. Setsuna is ok...but...yeah...I'm choosing Rociel's side ^_~ . I do like Lucifer tho....bah...now I don't know whose side to be on ;_; .

Three yes, but it doesn't really end the series. You see, the first three episodes was about Setsuna and his identity. After he found out, Sara had to be killed in order for Setsuna to transform into Alexiel. At the end of episode three, Setsuna said that he will get sara back. After that, he'll come back and fight with Rosiel. That was when Katan was in Hell, in half because of Setsuna's attack. Rosiel goes down to Hell to look for Katan.

^That was about the main main characters

After that was shown. They went to another place showing a kid in bed being held by people becuase he was saying "he is coming, he is coming". It ends there.

The next three episodes is the continuation of what will happen. Who will win the battle between Organic Angel Alexiel and InOrganic Angel Rosiel...

Do I make sense? Cause, I'm not sure if that was....ummm...readable ^^
