The character i least like is Raye Hino Sailor Mars..I think she's annoying and
has a habit of stealing boyfriends from others, like serena/usagi.

Hahaha... I'd have to say Sailor Chibi-moon... Her attacks were so hilarious... she would kill her opponents with hearts and sparklies. I did like her in her brief stint as Wicked Lady though.
I can also see where you're coming from with the whole Raye thing. DIC made Raye into this obnoxious loser... she's much more deep and sophisticated in the manga though.

I LOVE Mars and Uranus XD By far two of the most interesting characters.

And I thoroughly hate Chibimoon. She's just...ugh. Irritating, ugly, one-dimensional, etc. etc. After her I have strong dislike for Venus. I find her also irritating, one-dimensional, and rather boring. Lumped with her would be Sailor Moon (Not Usagi, mind you, who I find to be a separate character). Sorry, I just don't like incompetant ditzes.

Chibiusa is by far the most annoying. Haruka was mistaken for a man by all of the senshi before they realized she was a girl, infact Minako had a crush on Haruka. Most of the other senshi have a more detailed past and are more well rounded characters. Chibi usa really just whines and causes problems.

OMG! Mini moon, I hate her, she's constantly trying to get between Darian and Usagi. Even in the manga she's horrible. "I just want my own prince" please! she shoudl stop trying to get inbetween darian and usagi and try to remember he is her furture father, there is no future between them. Second least like sm character. I don't like the anime dairan, the manga one is just fine. I don't like the anime one. He seems cold to me, and he puts mini moon before Usagi. Like there isn't enough problems between the two with that brat around. Plus he's easily subjected to enemy control, what a loser. If seiya from the Sailor Stars would stay a guy, I would say Usagi should leave Darian and go for him:mad:

Sailor Venus was the orginal sailor scout, there wasn't even going to be a Sailor Moon until someone asked Noako to do it. And then Sailor Moon was born. In the past on the moon, Sailor Venus was the orginal sailor scout and leader of the sailor scouts since moon was a princess and stuff. I even have to of the orginal comics of Sailor V the story of how Sailor Venus started. Noako used Sailor V in the Sailor Moon manga so Sailor Moon had someone to idolize and then when she found out Sailor V was in fact real and a leader of the scouts, it made it easier for her. In the end, Sailor Venus made a sacrifce for Sailor Moon so Sailor Moon could save Earth. She called the scouts to arms and sacrificed her power to help protcect Sailor Moon, thus making the other sailor scouts realize that was what was needed, she also acted as a closer friend to Sailor Moon then any of the others

I'll try to make it clearer, Rei didn't steal him, true enough, but she still went after him for three reasons, 1. for her own interests. 2. to piss usagi off and 3. to make usagi admit she like Darien. No one dated Darian before Rei, even though some fan fic authors like to pretend he once had a love life...:<_<:

2. Uhm Venus was the first Senshi EVER, Code Name:Sailor V predated Sailor Moon. Also Venus's purpose is the most powerful inner senshi and to be a decoy for the moon princess. If you notice everyone thought she was the moon princess, because THATS HER JOB. She also has a much more detailed and sad past than any of the other senshi. She can never find true love. Venus is actually one of the most interesting and best characters of Sailor Moon, she was the first ever. How can you say she wasn't supposed to be in the manga, she was the original manga and all the other senshi had cameo's in her manga before BSSM got its own series.

Venus is the best of the senshi IMO. None of them have ever sacrificed what she has for her friends/family. She is the most powerful (inner), kindest, and honest of the senshi. She gave up everything just so the moon princess could survive. While all the other senshi could find true love, and "date", Venus could not... she will never find true love until Kaitou Ace is reborn. Her story is the most tragic.

If you've only ever watched the dubbed then I can see how you don't understand the complexity of her character. The dubbed versions cut out a lot of the episodes of her past that were in the original series.

no they are all from japan. Naoko says it herself. You are right about venus though. in the anime anyway. in the sailor v manga, venus only lives in england for a little while because of some negaverse disturbance there. she was born in japan and raised there, because artemis finds her in japan and tells her they have to go to england. In the manga, sailor moon is a strong central character who strongly believes in her friends and in love. She hardly ever cries without reason. But come on, every once in awhile we all cry for no reason. Sailor moon is a great character in the manga, shes calmer then her anime counterpart and is more serious about her duties. In fact, all the sailor scouts are much better in the manga. IN the anime, sailor moon is a whiny crybaby, but she still loves her friends, but she doesn't want to think abiout her duty. I think you all have to realize there's two different sides. I don't like the anime sailor moon that much, but I love the manga sailor moon. I hate the anime sailor mars, but I admire the manga sailor mars.
btw, sailor moon has no anger issues, if you were picked on all the time by mars in the anime, wouldn't you be whiny and a little angry too? Plus I think if we all ended up having to save the world, we'd all need some therapy, in the anime, she's dealing with her extradinary duty like any other teenage girl probably would. Exactly! When I first saw that, I started gagging. My mom was watching it, too and she said that was the worst thing in the world for a kid to be doing. I could see in the R series when she didn't have a clue about it and all. But when she does it even after she finds out Mamoru is her dad...Yeah.

As far as Chibi-Usa's "affections" fopr MAmoru, I read that she does that mainly to annoy Usagi and garner attention from both of them. I do not condone such actions, but given her personality, it makes sense.

Also, the general consensus is that the girls do look different as senshi than in their normal states, but the TV audence sees them for who they truly are. Again, I do not know if that is a good thing or not, but it makes sense.

I never really liked any of them, for different reasons. I've seen the anime, but I've only read some of the manga, so I'll list the reasons why I don't like them in the anime.

Usagi/Sailor Moon: Whiny, tends to be quite the crybaby
Ami/Sailor Mercury: Only thinks about the future and school, hardly (if anything) else
Rei/Sailor Mars: Annoying at times, like it or not, Usagi's right when she says she's mean -_-
Makoto/Sailor Jupiter: She's great and all, if I ever liked one of them, it'd be her, but she tends to be so naive!
Minako/Sailor Venus: And they say Usagi's dizty. Sure, Minako has her point, but honestly, she seems like she has no clue what she's doing.
Chibi-Usa/Chibi-Moon: Everyone's said it already, but I'll say it again. She is ANNOYING. They always talk about who annoying little siblings are. Well, I have two, and she makes both look like angels ><.
Haruka/Sailor Uranus: I really, really hate her superior-to-thou attitude.
Michiru/Sailor Neptune: She tends to get the same attitude as Uranus at times, and she just TOO PERFECT! I'm sorry, but sometimes it's too easy to tell she's made up. Is there anything she's not good at?
Setsuna/Sailor Pluto: She seems to be way too easily swayed by Neptune and Uranus at times, and also likes to pick up Uranus's attitude.

Okay, I've read all 5 pages of responses and this is what I think. I have never really liked Sailor Moon, but I do like other aspects of her personality in the anime. In my opinion, my least favorite was Sailor Mercury...it's not her fault it's just that she was made (I think) to make the other senshi look good. As far as manga wise, I liked manga Usagi and Rei because sure Usagi was a crybaby but even in the anime, Rei stuck up for her and they are friends because they are different. There aren't any Sailor Soldiers I really HATE i would say. In Sailor Moon SuperS (English Version) Chibi Usa got a new voice actor so she sounds a lot younger and a little more annoying, but not much. If i really had to pick one, it would be the Sailor Starlights from Stars or Pluto. the StarLights just didnt seem that important to the storyline, Seiya, who was one ofthe people who became the Starlights, was important, but the starlights alter egos were basically pointless. i didnt HATE pluto, i just dont think she did all that much...

I don't think the R season was liked by too many people to tell you the truth. Maybe that is why there is such a disagreement as to what really happened. It might also depend on which version was seen, the subbed or dubbed. Although it might also be one of those repressed kind of memories since no one seems to like Chibi-Usa that much, they kind of just blocked it out. Yes! That is it! So dont say, ew, Chibi-USA likes her dad! Because in reality she didnt he was her dad since also in reality he is her future dad. Confuzing. She was like a regular young girl. You know, that's getting more than a little tiresome. There are plenty of people who like Mars, and plenty who don't (I happen to adore her). I see no problem with trying to tell someone who doesn't like her why you do, but do have a problem with going after them with a vengeance. In short, treating it like it's a battle @.@;; You like her, some don't. Can't we leave it at that?

I'll just stick to Neptune then, but Tux is far more unpleasant. Neptune is just too perfect. She's not a character one can see oneself through, unless as an idealised version of self. She's like Mercury but stronger, smarter, faster, richer, etc. It's not a human character at all.

Mm, I rather used to think the same of Neptune...until I started -really- looking at her when writing fanfiction. I think she's the most twisted and secretive of them all. Haruka appears outwardly strong, but is a softy at heart. Michiru is much her opposite; she appears perfect and sweet and nice, but perhaps it's all an act...even to make up for the cold individual inside.

In deffence of some of the characters...

I used to think Rei was a brat at first, too, then I realized how she truly is. She cares about her friends a lot. A whole lot. But she's a bit awkward in how she expresses this. I don't think she's very used to having real friends...

I don't really think it's fair to hate on Haruka and Michiru because of their sexual preference... Or to bash Haruka because she looks like a guy. Like Reiako constantly tried to point out, they have very interesting personalities. I really enjoy the dialogue between them (in the original version, not the dub). They play off each other well.

Minako could be a ditz sometimes, yes, but as pointed out, she was also a very complex character. In fact, most of the characters in this series are. Especially in the manga...

Anyway... I like Chibi Usa the least. She served no purpose, and suffered from the typical Electra complex, hating and being hostile towards the mother, while attaching herself to the father in a rather unhealthy way.

Hah, makes me sort of wish Usagi never saved Mamoru from Neherenia at the beginning of Stars, where Chibi Usa started to vanish. Let Neherenia keep him, let Chibi Usa disappear, and then she'd be free to hook up with Seiya when the Lights come. Mean, I know, but the world would have been so much better off for it... Think about it... If there was no Chibi Usa, then there would be none of the trouble that occured in the R season with the whole her taking the crystal and Serenity being put out of commision...

I also don't care much for Sailor Star Healer... Yaten was a bit of a whiner and snob. "Hmph. Let's go..it smells like sweat in here.. *wrinkles nose all snooty-like*" It's a gym, Yaten...what do you expect? -_-; Although, I DO like the way she said her power. Just the way she said "Inferno!" So...yay. ^_^

I agree that many of the characters have complexities...and maybe it IS Chibi-Usa's lack of this that makes me dislike her so.

Speaking of Yaten...In tags because I know many haven't seen the series. He may not be my favorite, but he grew on me with some of his one-liners and...odd...scenes. Remember the phone call between him and Iron Mouse that never was? Or when he flipped out over having his picture taken while yawning (but said he wouldn't mind being photographed nude, as I recall o.O)? How about the Luna and Yaten episode? XD I thought he was quite the character...

And they were supposed to have her. oo If you read up on it, the creator of Sailor Moon made the manga Codename wa Sailor V first. Toei wanted to make it an anime and the main character was changed to Sailor Moon. Of course there's more to it, but that's the gist of it.

On topic, I'd have to say my least favourite is Sailor Neptune, even though I love the Uranus/Neptune pairing and respect her as a character... Did I say that already? I think I did.

Each scout contributes a lot to the team so none of them are really the "weak link," but if I had to choose one out of the bunch it'd be Sailor Venus.
