It is my personal goal to make sure that the maximum amount of people possible learn about Kiddy Grade. This is my favorite anime (as many of you already know) and it's something I just can't quit talking about. So... if it's not too much trouble, post here with comments, questions or criticism (that means you, SSX). I'll try to keep on top of this thread as much as possible. Thanks!

Well, since you introduced it to me, I have been searching high and low for the 1st two cases as I would very much like to see them. (Don't tell me to look online as I prefer to use cash!) Ive seen it also, and love too, i've started collecting the dvds of it not too long ago and am waiting for my local anime/manga supplier gets vol 4 in stock, plus lumiere rulz xD and that little program she uses thats just a bunch of chibi lumieres, ^^

Its complete rubbish.

"character development is never a bad thing". It gives some background for Eclair, Lumiere and one other character. That's it. & That comes in the middle third or the series, 'flashbacks'.

All of them have some hidden power which gets played out like a DBZ episode, You knock me down i'll get back up & find some power way more powerfull than yours... cough cough DBZ.

Bad action sequences that become more bizarre as time goes on and a poor plot that twists with every episode after the third quarter. Company GONZO made a error here :awe:

Personally i like it a lot, and i would recomend you watch it, you may not be drawn in at first but as you watch it i feel it will also grow on you, to answer your question - a simple "YES"

I currently own 7 of the 8 volumes and I have to say its been a very enjoyable show. Hardly rubbish! It doesnt take itself seriously, and just has fun with its story and the twists and turns are captivating. In short its quite good for what it is.

4. The real reason for the incredibly stupid title of an otherwise pretty good show is that Eclair and Lumiere are bottom rung ES members. they are young, at the bottom rung (or grade), and thus the "Kiddy grade" of the organization.
Thats why its called what it is. Its not some sick fetish movie, it is a futuristic space drama/action series with some really twisting and varied plotlines thrown in for good measure. Its really a brilliant show that deserves am uch more credible name.

G-Class do indeed outrank S-Class. G-Class is the most powerful, and as far as I know there are only two, of which Eclair is one. Lumiere is the other. I won't tell you what her new power is, but it's good. And yes, G-Class members are uber-powerful. In fact, in Episode 15 Eclair was able to beat off both Tweedledee AND Tweedledum when they used their Windstoss ability (a forcefield... also used in Episode 8 to contain a Geosort bomb blast) against her. Only two people were able to have any effect at all upon her, and they were Alv and Dvergr.

Well i did get the 4th volume as you may have guessed and it's my fav one out of the 4 i have! But beating Tweedledee and dum, that is very powerful! Still awaiting the 5th vol now ^^

Heheh, I cheated, so I know what happens in the last two episodes. I went to www.kiddygrade.info (http://www.kiddygrade.info) and found screenshots from the last few episodes, and these combined with my basic knowledge of what happens towards the end of the series more or less told me in a nutshell what took place. I must say, I was very shocked by what I learned. Of course, I will not say anything, because that would be more than a spoiler... that would be cruelty in the extreme.

OK, just finished it. Its not anything mind bending, but if you like action, there is PLENTY! A really deus ex machina type of ending. Finally finished this series! Now I look back and realize how much I spent to get the full thing ^^()

She speaks the truth. When you look at the main page that lists all the forums, you will note the little column to the side that states who mods it. That means that the mod only has power to delete/edit/move/etc in THAT forum. Unless the person is an admin, they cannot moderate outside of their designated forum. I cannot do anything in the Space Anime and Manga forum, and Whispers can't do anything in my forum, the Romance forum. It's just how it is.

So, it's not that we're going about and picking on threads that have the least problems or anything. We're simply checking over and working on threads in our designated forums. This one is in hers. She's moderating it. In doing so, she has made a request that you cease spamming (which, I've noticed you two tend to do on occassion elsewhere, as well). Please simply be respectful of the moderator's wishes and take the chit-chat up in PMs. We do not need the forums flooded with spam. It makes threads longer for no reason, topics difficult to follow, and it just looks bad.

Well I finally got my DVD TV in my room so I can now watch Kiddy Grade in a marathon altogether. It was a truly fun series with a lot of cool twists, but ultimately, like Last Exile, I think theres a littkle something missing at the end. thats not to say the ending arent good, they just arent what youd expect. HOwever, whatI notice in a lot of Gonzo shows is that while the ending isnt hte greatest, the real thrill is the show itself. each second you watch a Gonzo show is joy. Kiddy Grade is no exception. the animation is so fluid and beautiful, and I really dig the music. In all, lets just say there are a LOT worse htings you could spend money on than Kiddy Grade. Theres so much detail and subtlety in the animation, I have to watch it again to see things I skipped or rushed through. Definitely a keeper series ^^
