i suggest you try and make the characters slightly larger, there should always be emphasis on the character. its very very empty, try and add a bit more to the left.

why don't you add the rest of the cast of azumanga? like tomo and yumi?

Bring the logo to the front, and loose the yellow around it. Also, either enlarge the scan more, or find another one cause there is still a lot of negative space in the wall. On the whole though, I'd say you are well on your way to getting this done. ^_^

I hate to say this but making the people bigger really doesn't work because of how messed up they look. Don't you have that picture in a bigger size that isn't messed up?

Look for my tutorial on how to enlarge images without sacrificing quality; and yes it works the same in Photoshop as it does in PSP. ;)

FYI:

Image>Resize>Resolution


(most images are at 72 reso; increase that and the image size according).


Hopefully that'll help cause right now the image is total @ss; no offense. :)

How do you resize the image w/out resizing the BG? Easy. ctl + A ctl + x then go to Edit>Paste>New Image. Then go through the steps I've already given. Keep the BG, just work on it some. k?
