I am looking to buy some romantic comedies, but am unfamiliar with this genre. I was pulled into it by Love Hina, Please Teacher, and Ai Yori Aoshi. I was wondering is someone could be so kind as to make a list of some of the anime romantic comedies out there, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cardcaptor Sakura is romance, I think since the two main characters end up loving each other but its still more magical girl but is cool.

Ranma 1/2 is one? Didn't know it was a romantic/ comedy series. < _ < I hate to be broke... I can't believe I didn't get Tenchi Muyo right on the spot < _<

Another really good one was "Nadia, secret of the blue water" which was Gainax's hit production until Evangelion came out, then everyone forgot about it and most new anime fans never heard of it. I think its a great series.

Also, are we only talking about anime here? Or do you want names of manga too?

Well on your list I would have to say that Azumanga Daioh is definately NOT a Romantic comedy since well... there is no romance.

And also to add to the list theres Kimagure Orange Road, while it's romance 1st and comedy second the comedy is so strong that it really oughta count. And personally the best Romance anime EVER. The 1st movie is considered one of the best conclusions to an anime series of all time.

Square Enix/GC are releasing a manga in japan right now called He is my master. It reminds me a lot of Love Hina, and i've been rolling when i read this thing, it is funny. Bout a kid who's parents died leaving him a huge inheritance and he hires some maids because he feels his house is too big and he needs a little supervision. The maids are two sisters 14 and 13(main char is 14) who left home because their father wouldn't let them keep the pet alligator. The master is a pervert to the core and a 3rd maid appears in volume 2. Only 2 volumes out right now, hope it finishes before i leave japan ><
