I wanted to redo the winning image that I submitted for the March paint competition, but I got into kind of a rut. I made a really simple version and I like it a lot, but I guess I feel as if I didn't really work on it. The paint version has more complexity to it.

I'm going to post the version I have now. I'm going to work on a version that has a lot more complexity to it, but I'm not sure how well it'll turn out. I'll post it later.

Tell me what you think. Should I work on it more? If you were going to take the image in a new direction, how would you do it?

Ok, here's the complex version. It turned out a lot better than I thought it was going to. I'm going to submit it to the spring competition. =)

Nice, I like the complex version :)

Just my opinion, but the sky in the first one seems a bit too dark for a sunny day (or is the color of the "after rain sky")

I like both version..but I would go for the complex one :) I like the frames..maybe one more for the focus of the ladybug?? ;)

Really nice! I also agree that the background seems a bit dark compared to the sunny day that's in the pictures. maybe change it from black to yellow?

I brightened the overall background, but I left in a few areas of black. I think I prefer the darker version though.

ooh yeah, brighter is better, but the lady bug is bugging me (lol) maybe put her in of the big boxes
