Has anyone ever taken it? If so, what type are you and do you have any comments on your type? (Test can be found here (http://similarminds.com/jung.html))

I'm an INTP. (Introverted, 90%, Extroverted 10%; Intuitive 73.53%, Sensing 26.47%; Thinking 64.1%, Feeling 35.9%; Perceiving 59.46%, Judging 40.54%)

From the last time this topic was around

Do this test:

http://similarminds.com/jung.html

I got:

INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.

Introverted (I) 80.65% Extroverted (E) 19.35%
Intuitive (N) 75.76% Sensing (S) 24.24%
Thinking (T) 81.82% Feeling (F) 18.18%
Perceiving (P) 69.23% Judging (J) 30.77%

In general, I usually get INTP or INTJ.

Your type is: ISTP

ISTP - "Engineer". Values freedom of action and following interests and impulses. Independent, concise in speech, master of tools. 5.4% of total population.

I wouldn't pay much heed to this particular test; it was far to short.

I wouldn't pay much heed to this particular test; it was far to short.

It was too short to give that level of precision (to give 0.01% accuracy, you'd need of order 10,000 questions), but in general, you really can't make them much longer without starting to really obviously re-state the same questions differing only in formulation.

I've taken this test numerous time( I swear that's all school counselors give you to do) and each of time the test was much longer than this one. While this test could give one a general look at one's personality, I would still hold out for a more official test.

TL;DR - I don't trust free internet tests.

I always seem to be an ENFP regardless of which test I take.
The only thing that ever differs is some of the percentages - shorter one's generally show increased extroversion, while longer ones show it to be more in balance with Introversion.

I consider the Myers-Briggs model to be insufficient on its own because it doesn't measure emotional stability. It assumes that feelers are generally more emotionally unstable and that thinkers are generally more stable. This might be statically correct in some types, but not measuring the emotional stability of the individual can give them less accurate results.

The Big Five model measures similar traits with some theoretical differences and with different terminology (terminology that makes more sense for a normal person without much theorizing, and thus eliminates a lot of the meaningless "debating" around the terminology of the MBTI model) in addition to emotional stability. Each dichotomy in the Big Five model correlates to some extent to a dichotomy in the MBTI model.

I got a RCUAI. The acronym stands for:

Extroversion: Reserved - Social [introverted-extroverted]
Emotional Stability: Calm - Limbic [emotionally stable-unstable]
Orderliness: Unstructured - Organized [correlates to perceiving-judging]
Friendliness: Accommodating - Egocentric [correlates to feeling-thinking]
Curiosity: Inquisitive - Non-curious [correlates to intuitive-sensing]

This sounds like the equivalent of an emotionally stable INFP, but when I take an MBTI test I get an INTP.

In the MBTI test, I generally get more Ps than Js, and more Ts than Fs, but I never got an E. And I think I got an S or two. This is out of tens of tests I've taken over years, so I guess it's a good long-term measurement of those traits in my personality.

I think the Big Five terminology describes me more accurately (in a literal sense). "Reserved" makes more sense than "introverted" because it goes without the implications about social skills. And so is the case with the rest of the terminology.

that's still valid though. Even if you're 50/50 for everything, that will show you your personality nevertheless.

I took this in psychology. It was around 120 questions. I know I got I and T, and I believe I got N and P. I remember the best getting 100% thinking, but I'm not sure how accurate that was. I mean, obviously everything should be viewed with more logic than emotion, and everything on the test seemed best answered through logic. I know I'm not really 100% thinking and 0% feeling, but I'm glad I at least know I can see things logically when I step back and view things on their own, even if I don't always follow this practice.
