**contest April 2004: Spring Is Here!**

It is that time of year when sakura blossoms are in bloom, everyone is in love, and the air is fresh and new. Yes, it's spring and the weather is starting to get warm. This month's contest is to make your best spring-themed wallpaper.

Some spring themes may include:
-cherry blossoms/sakura
-flowers
-love <3

The contest will close May 1st, so you have plenty of time to make a wallpaper!

Contest rules:
Theme- spring!!
canvas size- any normally used wallpaper size
file size- any within reason
one wallpaper per person, please!

And the prize is.... you're very own banner! wow and amaze your friends. oooh, aaaah. Also, top wallpapers get the chance to be uploaded onto AW.com! If you want to be in the running to be on AW.com, you must follow the AW.com rules (have animewallpapers.com on the bottom, 1024x768, etc).

I'd suggest resizing the wallpapers to 1024x768 and adding the "animewallpapers.com" to it *now* because it will be the basis for who gets added to the website. If you dont want your wallpaper added to the website, just say that in the post. It won't affect your contest submission.

I did it and figured WTH, why not? I've got it up on the board for critique, but figured I would enter it in this. I'm not kidding myself, I've seen some of the other papers in this contest and know that this bad boy ain't got a chance in hell of winning but I can dream. ^_^ At any rate, my submission for this here contest. well here's my spring wallpaper!!!! I tried to make the image stand out by the edges, but the cutting didnt crop't right by the light colour on the image in psp 7!!! :<_<: o well. :-_-: and also I did the shading that stands out with the edges and the background!! so it will look realistic!!!!!!!

I wanted to do a Farfarello one, just because it would be a challenge. However, it turned out to be too much of a challenge, since there are very few actually good images of him on the net. So, you get the good guys from WK, instead. But, that's ok, because Yohji and Aya-kun rock. Yes, they do. :wub:

oh yeah, I forgot to pick the winners! As I mentioned in the update (see sticky), my computer got a virus due to the sassar worm going through my college network, so I have been off the internet quite a bit. I am still making the banners and will be having a new category as well; just need to work out the kinks. Thank you for your patience! This computer crap is pissing me off, but it's almost totally fixed.... I think... I hope.
